Long course

Entry will be made in 2 parts:
1. Invited entry
a. For Welsh Swimmers ranked Top 16 & Top 8 in the 400m IM, 800m & 1500m freestyle outside of the British Summer Championships during the qualifying window of 11th March -8th May 2022 who have achieved the published qualifying time at a 50m competition (level 1).
b. Invited Entries (from rankings) open 2nd June, close 12th June – if you fall into this category you will get a email from Swim Wales
c. Entries must be submitted in this window. Once closed unused spaces will be reallocated to the open entry.

2. Open Entry
a. The remaining spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis for those who achieve the consideration time between 1st January 2021 and the closing date of entry.
b. Open Entries open 9 am on 15th June and close at 5 pm on 1st July- be aware that these will fill really quick especially for the free and back events if you do want to enter I would attempt entering on the opening day

The current programme together with basic criteria for entry is set out below.  Links to meet packs and applications forms are issued by email and fixtures are usually publicised on the Notice Board at the Pool.

Please assist the Club by returning your forms with the appropriate payment before the closing date set by the Fixture Secretary Ruth Jones (Eryn's mum).  Payment is required by bank transfer.  Regrettably, the Club is not able to accept late entries.

If you are unsure whether to enter an event please speak to one of the coaching team.  For general queries regarding upcoming competitions please refer to Emma Richards who is often at the pool during training.  Alternatively, you can email direct on cdolphinssc@outlook.com.

The competition calendar is gaining momentum but restrictions are still in place in line with the latest Covid rules.  In particular, spectators are not currently able to attend.

SOCIAL DIARY

As a family friendly swimming club and in recognition of the ongoing commitment given by both swimmers and their families, a range of social events and activities are organised throughout the year.

The annual Club presentation evening usually takes place towards the end of the summer following the Club Championships.  Details of the forthcoming events are listed below with further information to follow particularly in terms of how they will be managed in line with COVID-19.

The Head Coach reviews and selects the key competitions that the Club will enter in conjunction with the Committee. Meet selections are made on the basis of short and long courses, open event opportunities to qualify for regional and national events as well as both Level 1 (elite) and Level 3 (development) meet choices.
