This page provides all the information required for a safe return to the pool following Welsh Government's easing of Corona Virus restrictions which permits swimming pools to reopen in Wales.

MEMBERSHIP

Swimmers will need to have renewed their annual membership with the Club prior to training so that
they are insured to train. The membership is £55 and because of the insurance ramifications entry to
the pool will not be permitted if the membership
has lapsed.

TRAINING TIMES

Subject to the pool reopening the training times for squads have changed to manage the lane sizes and safe entry and exit from the pool.  Click HERE for details.

KEY PRECAUTIONS
LOCAL LOCKDOWNS
Where areas across Wales are subject to local lock down restrictions, these may prevent the movement of swimmers between local authority areas.

As Pontardawe Pool is located in Neath and Port Talbot restrictions may apply to swimmers from outside the area.

FACE COVERINGS
Unless exempt, all swimmers over 11 years must wear a suitable face covering whilst inside Pontardawe Pool. This also applies to pool staff and coaches.

For swimmers face coverings can only be removed prior to entering and exiting the water.

CONTROLLED ACCESS
To manage pool capacity and to allow for the safe change over between public swimming and different swim squads, swimmers will be required to queue outside until access is granted by pool staff.

CHANGING FACILITIES
Use of the showers and changing facilities is limited only to those swimmer who train on week day mornings prior to school.

SOCIAL DISTANCING
Unless persons are from the same household, swimmers and pool personnel must adhere to social distancing at all times.  This includes whilst queuing to get into the building, whilst on pool side and during breaks in the pool. Coaches will advise as to the positioning of swimmers whilst they rest between sets.

COVID-19

To ensure the Club is fully prepared a number of key documents have been developed that Club swimmers and parents will need to read and complete, where applicable, to ensure that they know what to expect before resuming training.

KEY DOCUMENTS

1.
Swim Wales Return to Training Declaration

2.
Swim Wales Health Screening Form

Both these Swim Wales documents must be completed and returned to the Club prior to restarting training.

3.

4.
